Overview

Discover the difference between a #tag, like, plus, or pin. If you are a small-business owner, self-employed, artist, webmaster, or just want a better understanding of the power of social media, this course is for you. Take an in-depth look at the tools and emerging technologies you can use to generate interest in your business, attract new customers, and market your products and services online via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest. The course covers the basics of developing your own social media marketing blueprint, creating your media websites, branding the properties, developing content, formulating an optimization strategy so potential customers can find you using search engines, and best practices for creating an excellent user experience. Walk away from the class with a finalized marketing plan for your business, including an implementation timeline.

Passing the Course

Since this course is provided for informational purposes, no quizzes or homework will be required. It is recommended that students spend time outside of class reviewing their notes and applying the information presented in class. This will bring about the best possible results and will enable students to get the most from the class. Students who practice outside of class seem to learn and retain more than those who rely solely on classroom time for their learning and practice.
