Google Slides is a free web-based presentation program included as part of the Google Wordspce suite of productivity tools which also includes: Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drawings, Google Forms, Google Sites, and Google Keep. Google Slides is available as a web application and as a mobile app for iOS and Android devices.

Google Slides can create and edit slide presentations stored in Google Drive, import an existing PowerPoint file, or use a template. You can also collaborate with others in real time, leaving comments and making edits to the presentation as a team. Some of the things you can do with Slides include:

  • Create a new presentation from scratch, or import an existing PowerPoint file.
  • Add text, images, shapes, and other multimedia elements to your slides.
  • Animate your text and objects to add movement and visual interest to your presentation.
  • Collaborate with others in real-time, leaving comments and making edits to the presentation as a team.
  • Use the “Present” mode to deliver your presentation to an audience, either in person or remotely.
  • Use the “Explore” feature to get design ideas and find images for your presentation.
  • Save and share your presentation with others, either as a presentation file or as a PDF document.
