Launching OneNote
Launching OneNote opens the most recent note you were working with.
On the left-hand side, you have navigation to access to other notebooks, view subsection, create section, and pages.
The top area displays the ribbon with tools you can use to create notes.
Hidden behind the 3 dot menu in the upper left-hand corner are the settings and print buttons.
Understanding the Ribbon
The ribbon (or dashboard) for OneNote contains all the tools you can use for note creation:
At the top of the ribbon is a Quick Menu with shortcuts (save, undo, and redo are default).
Next are tabs. Tabs break the ribbon into different types of tool sets depending on what you want to do.
Each tab contains sections of common tools to help you create the document.
In the middle of the screen you have current note work area.
Located in the bottom left-hand side are the + Section and + Page button to add sections and pages to your notebook.
